Tuna Salad (Recipe)

A tuna salad sandwich with a bowl of tuna salad

Tuna salad is a simple and delicious dish that goes great in a sandwich or even on its own.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of canned tuna
  • 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 3 tablespoons of pickle relish
  • Pepper to taste (optional)

Serves: 3-4

Directions

  1. Drain the water from the tuna.
  2. Place the tuna in a mixing bowl and use a fork to mash it up.
  3. Mince or finely chop the celery.
  4. Mix the celery and the remaining ingredients into the bowl and serve.

Notes

  • The 12 ounces is meant to be two 6-ounce cans, but I’ve seen some 5-ounce cans as well so don’t worry about the exact amount too much. (But maybe put in a little less mayonnaise.)
  • Pickle relish is not the only seasoning you can use. I’ve come across other recipes that use onion or lemon juice, so you can try different ones or different amounts.
